Oldham Active Membership Pricing Updates for 2026
Oldham Active is updating its membership and activity pricing from 1st January 2026 to continue investing in facilities and services for our community.
Why We’re Making This Change
As a not-for-profit charitable organisation, every penny of your membership goes directly back into improving our facilities and services. With rising operational costs – from energy to equipment maintenance – we need to make this small adjustment to continue delivering the high-quality experience you deserve.
Here’s Exactly Where Your Membership is Making a Difference
Your support has already enabled us to deliver significant improvements across our centres:
- £160,000 invested in new resistance equipment at Oldham and Royton gyms
- Upgraded sauna facilities at Oldham and Saddlesworth centres
- £10,000 invested in new spinning bikes
- Refurbished pool at Royton Leisure Centre
- New women-only gym opened at Chadderton Wellbeing Centre
- New Wellbeing Clinics offering expert advice on sleep, weight loss, muscle gain, and endurance training
Looking Ahead to 2026
Your membership will continue to fund exciting developments, including:
- A new website and mobile app for easier booking and account management
- Further upgrades to Health Suites
- New resistance equipment at Failsworth Sports Centre gym
New Pricing from January 2026
Membership Rates:
- Ultimate Memberships: £37 per month (up £1)
- Classic Memberships: £35 per month (up £1)
- Young Person Ultimate: £21 per month (up £1)
- Young Person Classic: £19 per month (up £0.50)
- Legacy Memberships: Increasing by £2 per month
Junior Activities:
- Swimming Lessons, Gymnastics/Gym Mini’s, and Mini kickers: £29 per month (up £1)
- Legacy Memberships: Increasing by £2 per month
Joining Fee for NEW members:
A £10 joining fee will apply to new standard and concession direct debit memberships from 1st December 2025. Young Person and Annual memberships are exempt.
Your Membership Still Offers Great Value
Even with this adjustment, our fees remain competitive compared to other fitness facilities. Unlike commercial gyms, your membership directly supports community health initiatives and keeps our facilities accessible to everyone.
What You Need to Know
All current members and junior activity subscriptions will receive notification of their specific price change via email or letter over the coming weeks. The new prices will apply to new customers from 1st December 2025.
