Saddleworth Pool & Leisure Centre

The centre has see the main gym area get a stunning new makeover, which includes all new, state of the art Technogym kit installed, alongside a huge free-weights area and exciting new functional training equipment to give you a good all-over body workout.

The centre is now fully open for you to enjoy our new facilities. We look forward to seeing you soon.



As part of the improvments we will also be introducing new extended opening times which will start from Monday 2nd September.


We’re totally committed to our members and have taken onboard your valued feedback. The upgrades and refresh are taking place to ensure you continue to have the best health and fitness experience possible.

What's on offer at Saddleworth Pool & Leisure Centre


The gym will open at the earlier time of 6am on Tuesday and Thursday and will be open until 6pm on Saturday and Sunday from Monday 2nd September.


We’ve introduced a bigger weights area with more equipment, heavier weights & new racks.


The gym is stocked with medicine balls, powerbands, kettlebells and speed ladders, to give you a good all-over body workout.


We’ve introduced new class and pool timetables with more variety and more of the sessions you love.


The gym has all your favourite cardio machines which now include TV, internet, apps, games and much more from Technogym.


Our new app also makes managing and booking classes and sessions much easier, plus you can track your exercises, check centre details and much more. Find out more here

Saddleworth has become a favourite within the area, thanks to its outstanding facilities and location. Based in Uppermill, Saddleworth Pool & Leisure Centre boasts over 50 gym stations, using Technogym equipment with integrated TVs and entertainment systems. You can also book personal training sessions for extra help and support.

The centre will see the main gym area get a stunning new makeover, which will include all new, state of the art Technogym kit installed, alongside a huge free-weights area and exciting new functional training equipment to give you a good all-over body workout.

The Technogym equipment is cutting edge, and features TV, internet, integrated apps and games to keep you entertained and on track throughout your fitness journey with us. We’re also introducing some exciting new kit in the form of Climbmills, Skillrowers, a Skillbike and Skierg.

Additional to this, we’re also making some subtle improvements to other areas too, so your time with us keeps getting better and better. From our relaunch date, we’ll be opening the centre earlier from 6am on Tuesdays and Thursdays, and closing later on Saturdays and Sundays at 6pm, so you can work out longer with us at times to suit a busy schedule.

During this time, the gym and sauna will be closed, but the pool, studio, 3G pitches and changing rooms will still be open as usual. For members wanting to work out in the gym, we’re giving you the option to use any of our other centres during this time, or you can freeze your membership for a month, meaning you can pick back up with us on 1st September, and have your contract extended by that month that’s been frozen.
