    Do you have what it takes to lead and develop our Training function?

    A new role has been created for a Training and Development Manager and we are looking for a proactive and self-motivated person who will be able to develop and become responsible for training and development within OCL. Duties include overseeing the annual training plan for the company, coordinating the company Apprenticeship and work experience programme and developing external training opportunities.

    We are looking for somebody who is able to develop, manage, monitor and report training and the accompanying financial performance across the company whilst developing our own internal workforce as well as ensuring statutory compliance across the company and maximising income streams.

    The successful candidate should have good interpersonal, organisational skills, and people management skills. Experience of administration, as well and managing budgets and resources is also a must. KPIs and Financial targets will be an element of the role.

    As a family friendly employer the role can be worked flexibly with the option of home working for some aspects of the role.  However, attendance for meetings and liaising with employees and external partners on site will be required.  Hours of work may include evening and weekend work at times to reflect the requirements of the role and the successful candidate should manage their time efficiently and with flexibility to ensure they are effective in the role as stated.

    Membership and CRM Officer

    Membership and CRM Officer

    £23,275 – £24,798 per annum plus benefits

    40 hours per week

    A new role has been created for a Membership and CRM Officer to work within the business development team to deliver a fantastic ‘customer focused’ experience for our members and customers. You should have exceptional administration and organisation skills, excellent customer service skills as well as the ability to listen and understand customers’ requirements.

    The Membership and CRM officer will have responsibility for ensuring that memberships across Oldham Active are administered and managed efficiently, which includes effective management of the Customer Relationship Management system (CRM), payment collections, rejections, debt and cancellations.

    The Membership and CRM Officer will administer systems which meet with all internal and external requirements, you will actively be managing the relationships with customers throughout their membership lifecycle, seeking to retain members and managing situations where members experience financial difficulty.

    This role will contribute to the financial stability of the business through strong customer and financial management. To be successful in this role you will need to own and manage the membership process from start to finish including processing membership applications, maintaining records, dealing with freeze and suspensions, through to management of membership cancellations.

    The ideal candidate will possess:

    • Strong numerical ability, including the capacity to present information and data in a way that is easy to understand.
    • Excellent knowledge of CRM/LMS, MS office applications and management software systems.
    • Experience of running Direct Debit collections and managing debt
    • Confidence in making decisions that support our customers and our business
    • A problem-solving attitude with a passion and enthusiasm for Oldham Active
    • Ability to speak to different people at different levels and be assertive
    • Ability to listen and understand the needs and requirements of customers

    Individuals should have previous experience working within an administrative role, managing direct debit collection processes and effectively managing debt. Training will be provided if necessary and confirmation of the appointment can only be granted during the probationary period to those individuals who attain the above qualifications.

    Digital Marketing Executive

    Digital Marketing Executive

    40 hours per week

    We have an exciting new position for a detail orientated, highly collaborative and organised Digital Marketing Executive to deliver a ‘customer focussed’ digital marketing function for Oldham Active. You will work with the Sales and Marketing Manager to plan, deliver and optimise our online, digital marketing efforts to support the strategic aims of the business, increase awareness and drive conversation across our portfolio of leisure centres.

    The Digital Marketing Executive will be required to work under pressure to tight timelines, manage multiple workloads and support project and campaign delivery across the business. You will be responsible for; designing, implementing, and monitoring digital marketing campaigns, analysing and optimising SEO/PPC campaigns, utilising social media networks, coordinating the activities of all digital campaigns and analysing the performance of all digital marketing channels.

    To succeed as Digital Marketing Executive, you will have a customer centric mindset, have strong eye for detail and be able to work autonomously to manage the complete digital marketing offering from Oldham active. The role will require flexibility to work across various Oldham Sites where required.

    The ideal candidate will possess:

    • Experience of working within a digital marketing role
    • Passionate about social media and a genuine interest in digital marketing trends and techniques
    • Strong communication skills with high level of spoken and written English
    • Confident in making decisions that support our customers and our business
    • Excellent collaboration, creative thinking and organisation skills
    • Experience of paid search, online advertising techniques and SEO best practices
    • Able to build strong relationships with internal and external teams within the business
    • Strong creativity skills, hands on experience potentially include photography/image creation

    We are looking for an effective shift leader with an eye for detail and an ability to motivate and get the best from their teams. This role will be responsible for the day to day operation of sites, the successful individuals should have exceptional customer care skills and an infectious enthusiasm to provide the best possible standards of service.

    The Duty Manager will engage, inspire and develop their team to support members to aid their health, wellbeing and fitness goals in an inspiring and safe environment. They will support in growing membership, revenue and profitability of the business whilst delivering an exceptional customer service experience and be passionate about working in an environment that constantly strives to improve peoples’ lives. 

    To succeed as Duty Manager, you will be a self-starter, who works under minimum supervision with the ability to make sound decisions linked to health and safety, customer and employee matters.

    The ideal candidate will possess:

    • Current Pool Lifeguard, Pool Plant and First Aid qualifications
    • Experience of working in a position of responsibility within a leisure environment.
    • Experience of managing a team.
    • A passion for delivering exceptional customer service
    • Knowledge and understanding of Health and Safety

    Training will be provided if necessary and confirmation of the appointment can only be granted during the probationary period to those individuals who attain the above qualifications.
