    A new role has been created for a Membership and CRM Officer to work within the business development team to deliver a fantastic ‘customer focused’ experience for our members and customers.     The Membership and CRM officer will have responsibility for ensuring that memberships across Oldham Active are administered and managed efficiently, which includes effective management of the Customer Relationship Management system (CRM), payment collections, rejections, debt and cancellations.

    The Membership and CRM Officer will administer systems which meet with all internal and external requirements, you will actively be managing the relationships with customers throughout their membership lifecycle, seeking to retain members and managing situations where members experience financial difficulty.

    The role of the Apprentice is to support the everyday running of the facility, ensuring that the best possible service is provided to each and every one of our customers.

    Individuals will be supported to achieve a National Vocational Qualification at Level 2 or 3, relevant key skills and also undergo in-house training. 

    There are currently various hours available and where possible there is flexibility to work around individual’s commitments and hours which will be discussed at interview.  Hours may include evening and weekend work.  The rate of pay for the role is the Apprentice Minimum Wage, however there is the opportunity to pick up additional hours on a casual basis which are paid up to £8.91 per hour.

    The Pool Lifeguard qualification is a requirement of the role and therefore will require successful candidates to be a good level of swimming ability.

    We are looking for effective leaders with an eye for detail and an ability to motivate and get the best from their teams. You should have exceptional customer care skills and an infectious enthusiasm to provide the best possible standards of service.

    The Leisure Centre Manager will engage, inspire and develop their team to support members to aid their health, wellbeing and fitness goals in an inspiring and safe environment. They will grow membership, revenue and profitability of the business whilst delivering an exceptional customer service experience and be passionate about working in an environment that constantly strives to improve peoples’ lives.  One of the available roles will have a focus on developing and delivering the event programme at our flagship facility.

    To succeed as Leisure Centre Manager, you will be a self-starter, who works under minimum supervision with the ability to make sound commercial and health and safety focused decisions.

    The role of Leisure Centre Manager will require flexibility to work across various units and the place of work may be varied from time to time in line with the business requirements.

    The ideal candidate will possess:

    • Experience of working in a position of responsibility within a leisure environment.
    • Leadership experience within a commercial environment.
    • Experience of managing a team.
    • Experience within a target driven environment.
    • A passion for delivering exceptional customer service
    • Knowledge and understanding of Health and Safety

    Individuals should have previous experience of working at management level within a leisure facility, and hold recognised qualifications relevant to this.     Hours of work may include evening and weekend work at times to reflect the requirements of the role, and you should plan your time to provide an effective approach to facility management with a working knowledge of the full programme. The contract is for 40 hours per week and you should manage your time efficiently and with flexibility to ensure you are effective in the role as stated.

    The role of the receptionist is to act as a point of contact for all centre enquiries either by telephone, email or face to face and contribute to the smooth running of the centre reception. It is desirable that individuals should be educated to NVQ level 2 and have previous experience of working in a customer service environment.
