Casual Gymnastics Level 2 Coach at Radclyffe Athletics Centre

Do you have what it takes to be part of the team and to deliver a first class Gymnastic Class at Radclyffe Athletics Centre, Hunt Lane, Chadderton, OL9 0LS?

The role will be hectic and the expectations for high standards are always there – if this still appeals to you and you are looking to prove your skills as a Gymnastic Coach we want to hear from you.

Applications are invited from individuals who have already completed a UKCC Level 1 General Gymnastics Award, or a UKCC Level 1 award in men’s or women’s artistic gymnastics. A level 2 qualification is the second stage of the coaching pathway for this discipline. A DBS check will be a requirement of the role.

The main duties of the role will include to work independently to help participants develop their skills, strength and co-ordination. You are able to lead your own sessions within OCL, mentoring and overseeing any assistant coaches, helping participants develop the skills required to compete in entry-level competitions. Individuals will be required to provide safe and consistent Gymnastics sessions for all ages and abilities.

The rate of pay for the role of casual Gymnastic Level 2 Coach is £12.41.

Leisure Centre Apprentice at Royton Leisure Centre

18 month placement – Minimum 30 hours per week

Our team need you. We are looking to recruit 1 Apprentice, who will be located at Royton Leisure Centre. This is a great opportunity to earn whilst you learn, gaining a host of leisure related qualifications which can put you on your way to a fantastic career within this exciting and fast paced industry.

OCL are looking for a superb team member who should have exceptional customer care skills and an infectious enthusiasm to provide the best possible standards of service to the Oldham community. We are looking for an individual who is representative of our local community and the customers who use our facilities.

The Trust’s mission is “A Community More Active, More Often”, and working in a customer facing role our Apprentices are key to this. The role of the Apprentice is to support the everyday running of the facility, ensuring that the best possible service is provided to each and every one of our customers.

The training provided may include First Aid at Work, Gym Instruction, Health and Safety, Manual Handling, Pool Lifeguard, Swim Teaching and Pool Plant Operations.

The successful individual will be supported to achieve a National Vocational Qualification at Level 2 or 3, relevant key skills and also undergo in-house training.

The rate of pay for the role is the Apprentice Minimum Wage, after 12 months the rate of pay will increase to £6.45 per hour.  There is the opportunity to pick up additional hours on a casual basis which are paid up to £8.21 per hour.

The role of Apprentice will occasionally require flexibility to work across various units and the place of work may be varied from time to time.

The Pool Lifeguard qualification is a requirement of the role and therefore will require successful candidates to be a good level of swimming ability.
