    Temporary Human Resources Administrator – only current OCL Employees are eligible to apply

    Flexible Hours – 30 per week – £8.91 per hour

    This is an exciting opportunity for an organized individual to join the Human Resources team of OCL in the role of Human Resources Administrator to provide sickness and maternity cover for a period of up to 18 months. 

    Within the role you will be the key contact for Human Resources within the organisation whilst overseeing administration tasks including the production of employment correspondence and payroll administration.  Monthly tasks will include producing contracts of employment and any variations to these, updating sickness records, probationary monitoring and pre-employment checks as well as coordinating incremental rises in pay.

    You will support disciplinary and grievance matters along with playing a key role in the administration, co-ordination and support of an effective and timely recruitment and selection process.  Note taking and the production of minutes at company meetings will also be a requirement of the role and flexibility to attend planned meetings will be required.

    Outreach work may also be required on occasions including attendance at Careers Events and Jobs Fairs as well as attending CPD sessions relevant to the role.

    You must be a team player with an excellent eye for detail and be able to work on your own initiative and maintain the highest level of confidentiality.  On the job training will be provided but you should have exceptional organizational skills, along with the ability to manage your own time and prioritise tasks.  You must have previous administration experience, ideally but not essentially within Human Resources.  In addition you should also be IT literate with a working knowledge of Microsoft packages including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, as well as holding numeracy and literacy skills.

    This position is flexible and suitability will be assessed on the ability to meet the needs of the business and the post holder.

    Community and Engagement Officer – 40 hours per week

    An opportunity has become available to join an exciting project for the next 12 months, if you have an interest and desire to make a difference through exercise, health & wellbeing, this might be the opportunity for you. The role will be based in Oldham including a wide variety of community settings.

    The project aims to help Oldham residents to lead healthier lives and to help community groups and community centres to develop and promote their health-based programmes and interventions, with a particular focus on tackling loneliness and isolation. 

    The role requires someone with a genuine passion for creating and connecting links between community groups, activity providers and members of the public whilst encouraging individuals to take up new activities.

    Applicants are required to have previous experience of working with individuals with regards to lifestyle changes and the benefits of health interventions linked to this.  The applicants should hold a Sport/Fitness/Health & Wellbeing qualification.

    This position is a temporary 12 month contract, linked to the funding of the project; however it is hoped that the position may be extended or become sustainable in the future.

    The hours of work are 40 hours per week, but will need to be worked on a flexible basis to meet the project and the community needs and may include evening and weekend work at times.

    The salary for the role is OCL Band 6, points 17 to 19 which equates to an annual salary of £19,375 rising incrementally to £21,273.  This is a consolidated rate of pay and covers all hours worked.

    Fitness Instructor – Full and Part Time Hours Available

    Do you have what it takes to be part of the team and to provide a first class customer service across gyms in the OCL group?

    With continued growth across our sites the role will be hectic and the expectations for high standards are always there – if this still appeals to you and you are looking to prove your skills as a Gym professional we want to hear from you.

    Applications are invited from individuals who are qualified to Level 2 in Gym Instruction and are experienced instructors who will be responsible for aspects of the operation of the gym, instruction and performance. A first aid certificate would also be desirable and a DBS check will be a requirement of the role.

    The main duties of the role will include customer care, conducting fitness programmes, as well as cleaning and reception duties.  Operating procedures, policies and standards are to be achieved effectively with an emphasis on customer care.

    As part of OCL’s total reward package there is a generous holiday entitlement which is over and above the statutory minimum, a pension scheme into which the company contributes, you will be provided with full uniform and any equipment and training required to undertake your job role.  Also offered is free parking, use of the facilities and discounts at the cafeteria. 

    The rate of pay for the role of Fitness Instructor starts at £7.66 – £8.91 per hour and is dependent upon age.
