Radclyffe Athletics Centre

Radclyffe Athletics Centre offers a unique and wide range of quality leisure activities that are not commonly found through typical sports centres and leisure providers.

Our modern and popular athletics centre boasts a 5-a-side / 4 badminton court sports hall, Grade 1 outdoor athletics track and field facilities as well as a high quality 6 lane indoor athletics hall.

Officially opened in 2007 with the help from lottery funding, the facility is now home to many clubs including the Oldham and Royton Harriers Athletics Club, the Great Britain Wheelchair Basketball Team, Oldham Titans Basketball Club and Oldham Table-Tennis Club.

The Oldham Athletics 365 Academy is now open!

The NEW Athletics 365 Academy is the latest initiative from England Athletics’ award-winning Athletics 365 programme delivered by the M60 Athletics Network (M60 AN). The Athletics 365 Academy offers a professionally run athletics environment specially tailored for young people aged 8+.

Each session will help young athletes develop their fundamental movement skills while taking part in fun, enjoyable and high-quality athletics.

Athletics 365 Academy: Oldham

Dates: 10 week programme beginning Wednesday 8th March 2016

March – 8th, 15th, 22nd, 29th
April – 19th, 26th
May – 3rd, 10th, 17th, 24th

Times:

6 – 7pm U11s (minimum age 8)

7 – 8pm U17s (minimum age 11)

Venue: Radclyffe Athletics Centre, Hunt Lane OL9 0LS

Cost: £15 for the full 10 week programme which does not include OCL track entrance fee £1.75

Centre Information

INDOOR 5-A-SIDE-PITCH / 4 BADMINTON COURTS

Our indoor facility is perfectly suited for indoor 5-a-side football matches, as well as providing 4 spacious badminton courts. Radclyffe Athletics Centre also has spacious and pleasant changing facilities, as well as spectator areas and ample parking on-site.

Our facility has 5 a side football goals in place for use as and when required, as well as full badminton equipment and nets, which are able to be erected quickly and easily ready for your session.

Both football and badminton are great for keeping fit and staying active, and are a popular choice for many of our members wanting to find a great and fun way to get in shape whilst meeting new people.

 

GRADE 1 OUTDOOR ATHLETICS TRACK & FIELD

Our outdoor athletics track and field is a Grade 1 rated facility, and caters to a wide variety of athletic activities such as sprint running, middle distance runs, long distance and relay runs, as well as hurdling, pole vaults and throwing.

INDOOR ATHLETICS HALL

Our indoor athletics hall provides a warm and dry place to train during particularly bad weather, and still offers 6 running lanes, as well as designated areas for indoor throws, high jump, long jump and pole vaulting.

 

GYMNASTICS

Beginner Gymnastics sessions are available and take place every Friday evening and Saturday morning. For more information about these sessions, please contact our customer care team on 0161 207 7000.
