Success for UK triathletes at first ever Super League Triathlon Junior and Youth Races
The 29th September marked the first ever junior and youth triathlon event for Super League Triathlon. 96 participants from all over Europe took to the Waterfront in St Helier, Jersey where the British dominated the podiums.
The weather was kind to triathletes, with sunny and mild conditions on the day and the atmosphere was electric, with hundreds of sports fans lining the course to watch the live action.
The Juniors section (17-19-years-old) saw Erin Wallace of Great Britain (GBR) winning the female race and Marcus Dey, also of GBR, winning the male Junior race, which was held in the morning. Following on from this, the Youth races (15-16-years-old) began in the afternoon, with GBR’s Isla Britton claiming victory in the female Youth race followed by Daniel Dixon of GBR in the male Youth race.
