Wellbeing Clinics
At Oldham Active we know that for people to achieve and experience a great sense of health and wellbeing we must work beyond providing opportunities to be more active and exercise effectively. There are many elements that help us achieve a feeling of wellbeing these include: a healthy diet, mindfulness, management of pain, ailments and injury, managing stress.
Why wellbeing? When people achieve a complete sense of wellbeing it is displayed in them by clear and high level of energy, an emotional balance, a strong mind, a passion to be physically active fitness and fully know what enhances their health. Realising this state of wellbeing helps in the resilience to infectious diseases and protection from health problems such as heart disease, strokes and cancer. Further to this it means slowing down the ageing process and living a long and healthy life.
For us wellbeing is so important, as we try to help improve the health of Oldham and its people. This is why we have introduced monthly ‘Wellbeing Clinics’ to help our Members and Non-Members by delivering a number of wellbeing clinics. These clinics are short, largely informative sessions with a different topic of focus each month. We have engaged with a number of health and wellbeing experts to deliver each workshop and the sessions are free for everyone.
